Are you an organised, detail‑focused individual who enjoys helping customers and working as part of a supportive team? We are looking for a Customer Service Administrator to join Cansford Laboratories and play a key role in delivering a high‑quality service to our customers.

This is an office‑based position within a laboratory environment. You will be one of the first points of contact for our customers, providing clear, professional support by phone and email.

What we’re looking for

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A customer‑focused approach with a positive, professional attitude
  • Highly organised, reliable and detail‑oriented
  • Comfortable working with computer systems and accurate data entry
  • Able to manage your own tasks while working successfully as part of a team
  • Awareness of quality systems (ISO or similar) is helpful, but not essential
  • Previous customer service or office experience is an advantage

Day‑to‑day responsibilities

Customer support:

  • Respond to customer enquiries via phone and email in a clear, professional manner
  • Manage incoming calls, directing queries and escalating issues as required
  • Build positive working relationships with customers and colleagues

Administration & systems:

  • Update customer records accurately, including notes of all interactions
  • Ensure all received samples are logged into the system promptly and correctly
  • Attend meetings, training sessions and audits as required
  • Contribute to maintaining the highest standards of quality at all times

What we offer

  • Annual salary starting from £23,500, dependent on experience and capability
  • 25 days’ annual leave
  • 35‑hour working week (9:00am–5:00pm) on a rota basis
  • A probationary period of up to six months
