Robert Half is looking for an Operations / Customer Service Manager to oversee daily operations, lead customer service functions, and manage EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) processes. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient order processing, maintaining strong client relationships, and optimizing operational workflows to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day operational activities, including order processing, inventory coordination, and logistics
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors
- Monitor KPIs and operational metrics to ensure performance targets are met
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, accounting, and warehouse teams
- Leverage advanced Excel functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) to analyze freight data and support decision-making
- Develop and maintain operational reporting focused on freight costs, claims resolution, EDI performance, and customer service metrics
- Analyze data trends and provide actionable insights to improve processes and overall performance
Customer Service Leadership
- Manage and mentor a team of customer service representatives
- Ensure high-quality customer support and timely resolution of inquiries and issues
- Handle escalated client concerns and maintain strong customer relationships
- Establish and enforce service standards, policies, and procedures
