Position Overview

Our client is seeking a warm, professional, and highly organized Customer Service Manager to lead customer communication and administrative support throughout the project lifecycle. This individual will serve as a primary point of contact for clients while supervising two customer service team members.

The ideal candidate will have experience within construction or a related project-based industry. Experience with cabinetry, millwork, remodeling, or custom installations is especially valuable. This position requires someone who is detail-oriented, responsible, comfortable handling financial paperwork, and able to remain composed when working with challenging clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise two customer service team members
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients by phone, email, and in person
  • Welcome clients and provide a professional, high-touch customer experience
  • Respond promptly to client questions, concerns, and project updates
  • Communicate project schedules, delivery dates, and changes
  • Prepare estimates and supporting documentation for the sales team
  • Create invoices and maintain accurate customer and project records
  • Manage accounts receivable communication and follow up on outstanding payments
  • Coordinate customer payment plans and related paperwork
  • Support the administrative closing of completed projects
  • Partner with sales, project management, accounting, and closing teams to ensure smooth project handoffs
  • Maintain accurate information and activity within Salesforce
  • Help establish consistent customer service procedures and turnaround expectations
  • Assist with training employees at a nearby company location when necessary

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in construction, remodeling, cabinetry, millwork, building materials, or another project-based industry
  • Cabinetry or millwork experience is strongly preferred
  • Bilingual communication skills are required
  • Experience preparing estimates, invoices, payment documentation, or accounts receivable correspondence
  • Strong customer service and conflict-resolution skills
  • Ability to communicate professionally with demanding or dissatisfied clients
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong follow-through
  • Comfortable supervising employees and holding others accountable
  • Proficiency with CRM and business software; Salesforce experience is preferred
  • Professional, approachable, and confident when interacting with clients
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and customer requests simultaneously
