This is a fast-paced and dynamic position that requires strong attention to detail, quick decision-making, and a client-focused mindset. The Payroll Associate is responsible for the accurate processing and recording of client payrolls, while delivering exceptional service and support to ensure a seamless payroll experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and manage multiple client payrolls simultaneously.
- Oversee workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately, on time, and in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Maintain a strong understanding of payroll taxation and regulatory requirements.
- Accurately process wage garnishments, child support orders, and tax levies.
- Prepare and process quarterly and year-end payroll reporting in a timely manner.
- Generate and deliver ad hoc payroll reports to clients as needed.
- Work across multiple payroll systems to support time tracking, payroll processing, and reporting functions.
- Address and resolve client inquiries related to payroll processes and systems.
- Manage and support client-related payroll projects.
- Respond promptly to client calls, emails, and inquiries.
- Coordinate end-to-end payroll activities in collaboration with clients.
- Deliver an exceptional level of customer service, ensuring follow-up, accountability, and attention to detail.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications & Skills
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience.
- Strong phone presence and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, time management, problem-solving, and prioritization abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Language Requirement
- Advanced English proficiency is essential (minimum B2+ level), as this role involves frequent interaction with English-speaking clients through calls, emails, and meetings. The ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and confidently in English is key to success in this position.
