Summary:

Responsible for assisting and servicing customers on the phone and online by preparing and entering customer orders for warehouse processing.

Duties:

  • Answer incoming telephone calls in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Answer customer product questions using product knowledge and catalogue.
  • Inform customers of prices, shipping dates, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed by customers.
  • Watch fax, email and other digital mediums for incoming orders.
  • Be familiar with customer special requirements.
  • Enter customer order data into computer system.
  • Solicit sales of new or additional services.
  • Prepare customer reports.
  • Prepare orders for warehouse processing.
  • Maintain files for order-related paperwork in an organized manner.
  • Address customer complaints or escalate if necessary.
  • Process refund requests when appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Qualifications:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

6 months to 1 year of related job experience preferred.

Experience working in call center required

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee may be required to sit for prolonged periods.
