About the Opportunity:
A growing residential property management organization is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join its local operations team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping customers, solving problems, and working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
The Customer Service Representative will serve as a primary point of contact for residents, handling inbound and outbound communications related to account inquiries, billing questions, property concerns, and general support needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for residents via phone, email, and in-person interactions
- Provide professional and timely responses to customer questions regarding accounts, billing, payments, and property-related concerns
- Welcome new residents and assist with onboarding communications
- Process resident requests and coordinate follow-up with internal teams as needed
- Review account ledgers and assist with payment inquiries
- Conduct outbound calls regarding outstanding balances and payment reminders
- Assist with resident documentation and administrative processes
- Maintain accurate customer records within company systems
- Monitor service requests and ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner
- Support property management operations through various customer service and administrative tasks
- Handle escalated customer situations with professionalism and sound judgment
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1-2+ years of customer service experience required
- Property management, real estate, housing, or residential services experience strongly preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle difficult conversations while maintaining professionalism
- Comfortable working in a high-volume customer service environment
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Background:
- Experience within property management, real estate, multifamily housing, or residential services
- Exposure to property management software platforms
- Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce
- Familiarity with rent collections, resident relations, or leasing support functions
- Experience reviewing account information and customer billing records
