Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our DME team. The ideal candidate will assist patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies with durable medical equipment orders, and general support while ensuring excellent customer service and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Responsibilities:
Answer incoming calls and assist patients with DME inquiries
Process orders for medical equipment and supplies
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
Maintain accurate patient records in the system
Educate patients on equipment use, policies, and procedures
Resolve customer concerns in a professional and timely manner
Follow HIPAA guidelines and company policies
Requirements:
Previous customer service or healthcare experience preferred
Experience in DME, medical office, or insurance verification is a plus
Strong communication and phone skills
Basic knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with computers, EMR systems, and Microsoft Office
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance
Experience with prior authorizations and claims processing
Bilingual skills are a plus
