About the Opportunity
We’re supporting a well-established, growth-oriented manufacturing organization serving OEM customers across multiple industries. Due to several team members currently on extended leave, there is an immediate need for a Customer Order Representative to step in and support a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
This role offers strong potential for long-term conversion depending on business needs and performance.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers
- Process and manage orders across EDI, email, portals, phone, and other channels
- Handle expedites, order changes, and urgent “line-down” scenarios
- Coordinate with internal teams (materials, scheduling, logistics) to confirm availability and delivery timelines
- Review and resolve order exceptions, discrepancies, and customer inquiries
- Maintain accurate data including pricing, forecasts, and order acknowledgements
- Support RMA processing, sample orders, and customer system interactions
What They’re Looking For
Must-Have:
- 2+ years of customer service or inside sales experience (B2B or manufacturing environment preferred)
- Experience managing high-volume order entry across multiple channels
- Strong communication skills with the ability to stay composed under pressure
- Detail-oriented with strong organization and follow-through
Preferred:
- Experience working within an ERP system (e.g., SyteLine or similar)
- Exposure to manufacturing, supply chain, or production-driven environments
- Familiarity with EDI, scheduling, and logistics coordination
