2. About the Opportunity:
The Customer Service Representative – Patient Accounts is responsible for managing patient interactions, including scheduling appointments and resolving inquiries related to patient accounts. This role supports efficient healthcare delivery by ensuring accurate communication and verification of insurance information, contributing to the organization’s commitment to patient service and operational accuracy.
3. Responsibilities:
• Review electronic medical records to assist with patient inquiries
• Conduct insurance verification
• Manage a high volume of patient telephone calls
• Provide professional customer service to patients
• Document all telephone interactions in the billing system
• Resolve or escalate patient inquiries as needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management
4. Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Three years of customer service or call center experience, or two years of medical billing experience, or graduation from a medical billing program
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience handling high volume telephone interactions
Preferred:
• Knowledge of medical insurance policies, reimbursement, and terminology
• Experience with insurance websites
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• $23.00 – $28.74 per hour
