The client is a US-based moving and relocation company providing residential and commercial moving services across Illinois and surrounding states, with expansion into long-distance services.
The company is built on customer experience, speed of execution, and referral-driven growth. A large portion of business comes from repeat customers and referrals generated through strong post-move communication.
This role is a high-velocity customer success and outbound follow-up position focused on ensuring every customer is contacted shortly after their move, feedback is captured, and referral opportunities are actively developed.
You will be working directly with the owners and operations team to ensure customer experience translates into measurable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Follow-Up & Satisfaction Calls
- Call customers 2–3 days after their move
- Conduct short 5–7 minute satisfaction surveys
- Capture structured feedback on service quality, movers, and experience
- Log and organize customer responses clearly
Referral Generation & Relationship Building
- Identify referral opportunities from satisfied customers
- Ask for friends/family/colleagues who may need moving services
- Contact realtors involved in home transactions
- Build ongoing referral relationships with real estate professionals
Outbound Marketing Support
- Call assisted living facilities, apartments, and property managers
- Support outreach campaigns to generate moving leads
- Coordinate delivery of marketing materials with moving teams
Operations & Tracking
- Maintain accurate call logs and follow-up records
- Ensure no customer is missed in the follow-up cycle
- Track referral pipeline and report activity consistently
Must-Have Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in moving, transportation, logistics, or service-based industries
- Strong English communication skills (clear, confident, customer-facing)
- Ability to complete high-volume outbound calling (5–10 calls per hour target)
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Comfortable handling repetitive structured calls with speed and consistency
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience in customer success, retention, or outbound sales
- Familiarity with US service businesses (moving, real estate, home services)
- CRM or call tracking experience
- Experience working with referrals or commission-driven environments
