- Work Location: Sydney – Milsons Point Office (Hybrid available)
- Eligibility: You must need to have either Australian Full Working Rights / Permanent Residency / Australian Citizenship
- Tentative Start Date: ASAP
- Budget: $250 – $300 per day + Super
Role Description:
We are seeking motivated and customer-focused individuals to join a leading State Government Department as a Shared Services Support Officer. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy helping people, solving problems, and delivering high-quality customer service in a fast-paced environment.
You will be the first point of contact for customers, providing accurate information, resolving queries, and ensuring a positive customer experience across multiple service channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle customer enquiries via phone, email, and/or chat in a professional and timely manner
- Understand customer needs and provide appropriate solutions or guidance
- Accurately record and manage customer interactions using internal systems
- Follow established processes, policies, and service guidelines
- Escalate complex issues to relevant teams when required
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through effective communication and ownership
- Work across multiple systems while managing customer interactions efficiently
Key Requirements
- Previous experience in a customer service environment (contact centre, service desk, shared services, or similar)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build rapport and manage customer expectations
- Comfortable using multiple computer systems and learning new technologies
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes accurately
- Proven ability to adapt to change and learn new procedures quickly
- Good typing speed (minimum 40 WPM) with high accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Preferred (but not mandatory)
- Experience working in a government or regulated environment
- Experience handling high-volume customer interactions
