Position: Facilities Services Customer Center Operator )

The Facilities Services Customer Center Operator provides customer service and front‑line support to the client site with respect to the maintenance and operations of their building(s). The Dispatch Centre is a critical environment responsible for receiving and dispatching facilities service requests for its clients 24/7/365. The work environment is fast‑paced and client‑service focused.

Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound service requests received via telephone, e‑mail and web interface, initiating work orders to support timely fulfillment and resolution of client requests.
  • Fill basic client requests including creating and dispatching work orders to appropriate internal and external service providers and relaying information to front‑line facilities managers.
  • Assess and accurately assign level of priority to facilitate timely fulfillment of service requests.
  • Learn techniques for troubleshooting service issues and communicating with internal technicians, Facility Managers, external service providers and landlords.
  • Receive guidance and support in completing service requests, including proper work‑order processing, dispatching and communication of information.
  • Provide outstanding customer‑service support and maintain confidentiality of client account information.
  • Participate in program initiatives undertaken by the Dispatch Center.
  • Assist with demonstrating Dispatch Centre capabilities to prospective hires and provide training to current Team Members as required.
  • Perform other duties assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school completion plus a specialized technical business course.
  • One year or more of job‑related experience in facilities service or a related field.
  • Demonstrated language proficiency (verbal and written) in English, including proper grammar, spelling and punctuation.
  • Transparent and effective communication skills.
  • Strong customer‑service orientation and proven customer‑service skills.
  • Proficient at typing and navigating computerized work systems while communicating verbally with clients.

Work Hours and Availability

24/7/365 environment requiring open availability in a rotating 12‑hour shift pattern. Must have open availability to work weekends and holidays as required and be available for on‑call duty.

Location

Toronto, ON – On‑site position (12‑month contract, Monday to Friday).
