2. About the Opportunity:

The Health Care Customer Service Representative role involves managing both inbound and outbound calls to resolve billing, payment, and insurance questions in a remote, fast-paced environment. This position is vital for maintaining clear communication with patients and account holders, ensuring payments and arrangements are accurately handled while adhering to legal standards. The role contributes directly to the organization’s efforts to provide effective financial assistance and support to healthcare consumers.

3. Responsibilities:

• Make and answer calls to resolve billing and payment issues using designated work queues and call pools

• Respond to patient and account holder inquiries professionally and thoroughly

• Facilitate payment collection or payment arrangements on behalf of clients

• Follow client-specific protocols and policies during all interactions

• Investigate and address client inquiries as required

• Enter and monitor payment arrangements

• Comply with FDCPA, FCRA, HIPAA, and other applicable laws

4. Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a call center or customer service role involving public contact

• Preferred knowledge of medical terminology, patient billing, healthcare insurance, or healthcare administration

• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask

• Flexibility to work evenings and Saturdays as needed

• Teamwork skills for collaborative work environment

• Bilingual skills are a plus for supporting bilingual calls

• Broadband internet connection with hard-wired setup (minimum 40 mbps download, 5 mbps upload)

• Camera usage required during training and shifts as directed

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Bilingual Remote: $18.00 per hour with potential quarterly performance increases up to an additional $2.00 per hour within the first 12 months

• Non-Bilingual Remote: $16.00 per hour with potential quarterly performance increases up to an additional $2.00 per hour within the first 12 months
