We are seeking a permanent flexible full-time Information Support Officer to undertake various administrative tasks, review applications and information about clients, be required to prepare correspondence and undertake simple assessments and reports concerning departmental carers and their adult household members, persons associated with licensed or funded non-government service providers (in the child safety and disability sector), adoption applicants and departmental employees. The role requires integrity, discretion and tact in dealing with sensitive and confidential information.

Key Duties And Responsibilities
As an Information Support Officer you will:
- Prepare and review relevant documents and make recommendations including the release of information in accordance with the relevant legislation and privacy principles.
- Undertake and contribute to the day-to-day operations of the team by monitoring and prioritising workflow, ensuring accuracy of information is provided to clients within agreed deadlines.
- Undertake tasks in accordance with relevant legislation and policies relating to the release of information for the purpose of ensuring accurate and thorough advice. Ensure decisions are made and recorded in a manner which is clear, concise, and comprehensive and meets clients' needs and is consistent with policies and procedures.
- Input data, monitor team statistics, trends and issues concerning the overall workload and advise the Senior Review Officer and Manager. Update, maintain and validate data on departmental information systems ensuring accuracy, completeness, quality and timeliness of output.
- Contribute to the development and recording of processes and procedures in relation to the release of information as required.
- Initiate appropriate consultations and build and sustain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders with whom it is necessary to consult about the release of information.
- Complete tasks and actively contribute at a high level to a culture of client service, excellence and continuous improvement.
- Participate in team and office discussions and planning, and other relevant team and office projects as required to achieve operational and strategic objectives in accordance with the Departments goals.
This position is aligned to the Individual Contributor profile of the Queensland Public Service Leadership competencies for Queensland. To be successful in this role, you will be required to demonstrate capability in the areas detailed within the Candidate Information Package.
This position reports to the Senior Review Officer.
