The IT Operations Administrator is responsible for supporting and maintaining IT systems within our laboratory and office in Chanelle Labs, Jordan. This includes day to day IT support, infrastructure, applications, and providing end-user support, ensuring systems are stable, compliant, and fit for purpose across multiple environments. The role will report directly to the IT Operations Supervisor in our Corporate Head Office in Ireland.
Location: This role will be based 5 days onsite at our office in Ammann Jordan.
As our IT Operations Administrator, your key responsibilities will be to:
- Provide support across the IT Service Desk and Operations function, including:
- End-user support
- Infrastructure support
- Network support
- Application support
- Install, configure, test, maintain, and troubleshoot:
- End-user workstations and mobile devices
- Associated hardware and software
- Support and maintain all physical and virtual laboratory infrastructure by ensuring lab systems are available, stable and correctly configured
- Manage and support multiple environments (Development, QA, Staging)
- Install, maintain, and support laboratory software and tools
- Liaise with external vendors and application suppliers for issue resolution and support
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree Qualification in IT essential
- Min 3–5 years’ experience working in IT support role within a laboratory environment preferred
- Experience working in a similar Pharmaceutical industry or lab-focused environment preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills essential
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
Skills & Competencies
- Strong Knowledge of laboratory systems and instruments such as Empower, LabWare (LIMS) and UV / FTIR instruments is essential for this role
- Expert knowledge of Windows environments and IT operations/helpdesk support essential along with expert knowledge of networking concepts: LAN / VLAN / WAN.
