We're working with a mission-driven social housing landlord dedicated to community impact on this exciting opportunity. We are seeking a numbers-focused professional eager to leverage Microsoft Excel and fundamental accounting principles to support a vital public sector function in the heart of London.

This is a high-impact role within a collaborative "one team" environment where your work directly contributes to the well-being of residents. You will master the full purchase ledger cycle and gain valuable exposure to service charge accounting while working alongside a supportive Senior Finance Officer.

The Role

  • Manage the end-to-end Purchase Ledger process, including high-volume invoice processing, coding, and supplier payment runs.
  • Take ownership of bank receipts and rent ledgers, ensuring tenant accounts and Housing Benefit payments are accurately reconciled.
  • Support the preparation of complex Service Charge accounts for residents, ensuring transparency and financial accuracy.
  • Execute daily bank reconciliations and maintain meticulous electronic filing systems in compliance with GDPR and data protection policies.
  • Collaborate with the wider finance team to streamline office operations and provide excellent customer service to suppliers and residents.

What You'll Need

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically advanced functionality in Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting.
  • Solid foundation in accounting principles; an AAT qualification or active pursuit of AAT studies is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders and residents.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple deadlines across the financial month-end cycle.
  • Prior experience in a finance-assistive role or a relevant academic background with a strong command of Maths and English.
