Description
A Kids Club Attendant in a resort is responsible for creating a safe, high-energy, and memorable vacation experience for the resort's youngest guests
Key Responsibilities
- Guest & Parent Relations: Acting as a primary touchpoint for parents. You will welcome families, handle registrations, communicate schedule details, and provide reassurance regarding safety protocols and food allergy management.
- Facility Upkeep: Maintaining the Kids Club as a clean, organized, and sanitized space. This involves constantly resetting activity rooms, organizing toys, sanitizing equipment, and reporting any maintenance hazards.
- Child Safety & Supervision: Keeping a hawk-like eye on all children enrolled in the program. You must ensure a secure environment by strictly managing the check-in and check-out procedures, verifying authorizations, and maintaining appropriate child-to-adult ratios.
- Problem Resolution: Handling minor conflicts between children, soothing homesickness, and managing behavioral issues with patience and positive reinforcement.
- Activity Planning & Facilitation: Designing and leading daily schedules packed with diverse activities. This includes arts and crafts, scavenger hunts, pool games, thematic parties, movie nights, and outdoor sports.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Requirements & QualificationsResorts look for candidates who blend childcare expertise with high-end hospitality skills.
- Experience: Previous experience working with children is highly required.
- Certifications: Valid CPR and First Aid certifications are mandatory and a police clearance from country of residence
- Soft Skills: Boundless energy, patience, conflict-resolution skills, and cultural sensitivity to interact with international families.
- Stamina: The job is highly physical. You will be on your feet, running games, bending down, and working outdoors in resort weather (often hot or humid) for hours at a time.
