PURPOSE:

This position is responsible to ensure the correct and timely processing of all shipments two and from New Zealand via all modes of transport.

Key responsibilities and tasks are to co-ordinate client Purchase Orders for shipment to New Zealand. Communicate and update Clients of Shipment Progression. Oversee Shipment Registration in our operating system(s). Co-ordinate collection / deliveries of client shipments within New Zealand. Assist with pricing requirements. Additional duties include assisting with co-ordination of 3PL/warehousing movements.

JOB DUTIES / EXPECTATION:

Essential behaviors and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Arranging collections / deliveries with our transport contractors
  • Arranging Inwards & Outwards orders with our 3PL / Warehousing contractors
  • Ensuring all required release documentation is received and is correct
  • Oversee timely processing of Import registrations
  • Assist with timely processing of Export registrations
  • Shipment Monitoring and Tracking
  • Updating clients in a pro-active and timely manner of their shipment progression
  • Assisting Clients with arranging Import Shipments as requested
  • Assisting Clients with arranging Export Shipments as requested
  • Assisting with Sales and Business Development opportunities
  • Liaising with carriers & Co-Loaders to secure pricing
  • Assisting with vendor entry and payments where required
  • Contacting vendors and suppliers for financial documents
  • Assisting with preparation of NZ Customs Declarations
  • Contacting partners, suppliers and carriers for shipping paperwork
  • Liaising with Global Network Offices and partners
  • Assisting with general office duties
  • All other tasks reasonably requested

Job Requirements

Requirement:

  • Ideally a successful candidate will have 2+ years’ Logistics and Transport experience, with an understanding or Cargo Wise a bonus.
