Job Overview:

The Operations Officer will be responsible for the timely and accurate issuance of insurance policies and the processing of policy servicing requests in accordance with the company's standard operating procedures and established service level agreements (SLAs). The role requires a strong focus on operational excellence, accuracy, compliance, and customer service while ensuring all activities meet defined KPIs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and issue new business, renewals, endorsements, and certificates within the agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Ensure all policy servicing requests are completed accurately and in compliance with internal policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
  • Adhere to company processes, including documented procedures, internal memos, email instructions, customer complaint logging, and quality tracking mechanisms.
  • Maintain high levels of accuracy while processing policy transactions to ensure operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Support continuous process improvements by identifying operational issues and contributing to quality enhancement initiatives.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery and compliance with company standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
  • Professional insurance certifications such as Licentiate/Associate from III or CII are preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the insurance industry, in policy administration, policy issuance, or insurance operations.
  • Strong understanding of insurance policy lifecycle, including new business, renewals, endorsements, and policy servicing.
  • Excellent customer service orientation with the ability to deliver high-quality service within defined SLAs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a very good command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
