What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

  • Serve as the first point of contact for patient account inquiries, providing accurate information regarding billing and account status
  • Manage incoming calls and respond to voicemail messages to resolve outstanding balances and account discrepancies
  • Review patient accounts for accuracy and ensure proper demographic and insurance information is complete prior to billing
  • Process patient payments securely while adhering to organizational policies and procedures
  • Maintain detailed and accurate account notes for all patient interactions and ensure timely resolution of outstanding balances

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a medical office, healthcare billing, or revenue cycle environment
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate empathetically with patients
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Outlook

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience handling high call volumes in a customer service environment
  • Familiarity with Nextgen and SIS Billing Systems
  • Knowledge of medical billing terminology, insurance processes, and patient account workflows
