Note – Looking for candidates who has the ambiguity/critical thinking needed to improve workflows; JD: People Operations Specialists to join our People Services team within the wider Data Solutions organization. This is a high-volume, operational role for someone who thrives in fast-paced startup environments and enjoys solving problems through process improvement and automation.
You'll be the frontline support for our employees, handling hundreds of tickets and requests daily while maintaining exceptional accuracy and attention to detail. This role is perfect for someone scrappy, organized, and excited about using AI and technology to streamline workflows.
What You'll Do
Core Responsibilities (Day 1):
- Manage high volume of people tickets (Jira-based ticketing system) – this will be the majority of your work
- Handle administrative tasks in Workday (HRIS system)
- Perform data entry and work extensively with spreadsheets
- Provide employee-facing support (think customer service for internal employees)
- Execute repetitive operational tasks with extremely high accuracy
Additional Responsibilities (As You Ramp):
- Support onboarding processes
- Assist with contractor onboarding and offboarding
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Explore automation opportunities using AI tools
- Take on additional projects based on team needs
Requirements
- 2-5 years of professional experience (no fresh college grads; 5+ years may be too senior)
- Startup experience strongly preferred – you must be scrappy, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to work without fully defined processes
- Experience at high-growth organizations (not 7+ years at a single large tech company)
- Extreme attention to detail – precision is non-negotiable in this role
- Ability to move very quickly with very high accuracy
- Excellent organizational skills (you'll receive hundreds of emails daily)
- Strong communication skills and team collaboration
- Comfortable working extensively with spreadsheets and data sets
- Process improvement mindset – always thinking "how can we do this better/faster?"
- AI-focused mindset – interested in automation and leveraging technology
Nice to Have
- Workday experience (huge plus, but not required – it's fairly intuitive)
- Greenhouse (ATS) experience (preferred but not required)
- Experience working with Jira or similar ticketing systems
- Background in People Operations or HR operations
- Detail-oriented to an exceptional degree
- Customer service orientation
What We're NOT Looking For
- Candidates who have spent many years exclusively at large, established tech companies where processes are rigid and you can "coast"
- Candidates without startup or high-growth company experience
- People who need highly structured environments with clear processes already in place
