The Role: Project Support Administrator
The purpose of this role is to assist with project coordination and provide administrative support to the department. It exists to ensure smooth project execution by tracking tasks, maintaining documentation, and supporting the team with general administrative duties. The main focus areas include monitoring deadlines, preparing project plans, and liaising with internal teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete 1-2 years of experience in an administrative or project support role, which can include internships.
- Assist with project coordination by scheduling meetings, tracking tasks, and following up on deliverables.
- Maintain project documentation, records, and filing systems.
- Prepare reports, project plans, presentations, and meeting minutes.
- Support the team with data entry, correspondence, and general filing.
- Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Monitor deadlines and provide reminders to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Handle ad hoc tasks to support the overall efficiency of the department.
About You
- Matric / Grade 12 qualification.
- 1-2 years of experience in administrative or project support roles.
- Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, MS Projects, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Keen attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Completed or in-progress Diploma or Degree in engineering covering Draughting, Project management and Engineering (advantageous).
- Relevant diploma or degree in administration, business, or project management (advantageous).
