What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Conduct comprehensive patient interviews to collect accurate information and verify it using online software
- Schedule outpatient appointments and ensure patients are informed of necessary information for their exams
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, obtaining authorizations and referrals as needed
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Provide exemplary customer service by answering phones and interacting with patients and staff
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of previous registration and/or insurance verification experience
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Must be available for scheduled work shifts, including potential changes during training
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Bilingual in English and another language
- Experience in a healthcare setting or with patient scheduling
- Familiarity with CPT and ICD coding
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to accept constructive feedback
