Summary
We are looking for a motivated Remote Phone Screener to serve as the first point of contact for prospective candidates. In this role, you will conduct initial phone conversations, assess qualifications, discuss open opportunities, and coordinate interviews for applicants who meet hiring requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy speaking with people, staying organized, and contributing to a fast-paced remote recruitment team.
Responsibilities
- Complete 150–250 outbound calls each day using company-provided candidate lists.
- Conduct structured phone screenings to evaluate candidate qualifications and interest.
- Explain available positions, responsibilities, and hiring expectations.
- Assess applicants based on communication skills, experience, availability, and overall job fit.
- Schedule interviews with hiring managers for qualified candidates.
- Accurately document screening notes and candidate updates in the CRM and applicant tracking system.
- Maintain timely communication with applicants throughout the hiring process.
- Achieve daily screening, outreach, and interview scheduling targets.
- Assist with additional recruiting support and administrative responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
- Friendly, professional phone etiquette with strong active listening skills.
- Ability to handle a high volume of outbound calls while maintaining quality conversations.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
- Reliable computer, mobile device, stable electricity, and primary and backup internet connections.
- Previous experience in customer service, recruiting, staffing, appointment setting, call center operations, or sales is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with CRM software or applicant tracking systems is beneficial but not required.
