The Zanzibar Collection is an award-winning collection of four boutique luxury resorts on the idyllic island of Zanzibar. Renowned for exceptional hospitality and highly personalized guest experiences, we are seeking a professional, detail-oriented Central Reservations Agent to join our Central Reservations Office based in Nairobi.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a dynamic reservations team, assisting guests and travel partners from around the world while representing one of East Africa's leading luxury hospitality brands.
The Opportunity
- This is a full-time, on-site position based in Nairobi. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling reservations efficiently while delivering outstanding customer service and maximizing booking conversions.
Key Responsibilities
• Process reservations received via email, telephone and online channels
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest and travel agent enquiries
• Process new bookings, amendments and cancellations accurately
• Maintain accurate reservation records and guest profiles
• Maximize revenue opportunities through effective selling and upselling
• Liaise closely with the reservations team and individual resort teams to ensure seamless guest experiences
• Ensure all correspondence reflects the standards of a luxury hospitality brand
Requirements
✔ Minimum 2–3 years' reservations experience within a top-rated Hotel or Travel Company/DMC
✔ Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
✔ Proficiency with OPERA PMS is essential
✔ Experience with SiteMinder Channel Manager will be a distinct advantage
✔ Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
✔ Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
✔ Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
✔ Professional telephone manner and customer-focused approach
✔ Additional foreign language skills would be advantageous
