What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Answer member, provider, and broker inquiries regarding product information, benefits, claims resolution, eligibility, and billing questions
- Provide first-level problem resolution by gathering and researching information related to claims submissions and customer issues
- Deliver accurate information to customers while maintaining performance goals and objectives
- Update customer records and account information using the business areas' enrollment/inquiry tracking system
- Participate in ongoing education related to new services, industry topics, and skills
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- High School Diploma or GED
- Less than one year of customer service experience
- Demonstrated skills as an empathetic and compassionate communicator
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to quickly gain customer trust and confidence
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Less than 1 year of experience in a call center customer service role or familiarity with medical or insurance terminology
