The Customer Service Officer I is responsible for providing front-office customer service support at the branch by handling account maintenance, processing cash and non-cash transactions, facilitating payments and collections, and responding to customer inquiries. The role ensures efficient service delivery while maintaining compliance with the bank's policies and procedures.

Customer Relationship Management (CRM)

Academic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Banking and Insurance, Accounting, Management, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum of one (1) year of relevant banking experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional front-office customer service at the branch.
  • Handle account opening, account maintenance, and account update requests.
  • Process cash and non-cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Handle customer payment and collection transactions.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve service-related issues promptly.
  • Verify customer documents and ensure compliance with banking policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate transaction records and customer information.
  • Promote the bank's financial products and services to customers.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of customer information.
  • Support branch operations and perform other duties assigned by the Branch Manager or Supervisor.

Required Skills And Competencies

  • Good understanding of banking operations and financial products and services.
  • Knowledge of banking accounting principles, procedures, and operational guidelines.
  • Ability to respond effectively to customer inquiries and resolve routine customer issues.
  • Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Good working knowledge of core banking systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high service standards.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
