We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Front Desk Manager to oversee the front desk operations at our hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional guest service abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of hotel management. This role is vital in ensuring a seamless guest experience, maintaining high standards of hospitality, and managing daily front desk functions efficiently. The Front Desk Manager will serve as the face of our hotel, fostering guest relations and coordinating with various departments to uphold our reputation for excellence.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate front desk activities, including check-in/check-out procedures and guest inquiries
- Lead and train front desk staff to deliver outstanding customer service and uphold hotel standards
- Manage reservations, cancellations, and modifications using multi-line phone systems and hotel management software
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction
- Oversee night audit procedures, ensuring accurate financial reporting and record-keeping
- Maintain effective phone etiquette and communicate clearly with guests and staff across multiple channels
- Assist with guest relations by providing personalized service, information about hotel amenities, and local attractions
- Ensure the front desk area is organized, clean, and welcoming at all times
- Collaborate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to address guest needs efficiently
- Monitor staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage during shifts while maintaining operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hospitality management or hotel front desk operations
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse clientele effectively
- Knowledge of hotel management systems and multi-line phone systems
- Experience with night audit procedures is preferred
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and interpersonal relations
- Leadership qualities with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Hospitality or hotel management certification is a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if required
